• BUDGET VOTE AND BOARD OF EDUCATION ELECTION
     
    The vote will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the following locations:
     
    Coxsackie Elementary School (District 2)
     
    Edward J. Arthur Elementary School (District 1)
     
    If you are interested in becoming a candidate for the Board of Education, you can pick up a Nominating Petition in the District Office located at 24 Sunset Blvd., Coxsackie.  You can also click on the link below to download the Nominating Petition Packet.  The Deadline for filing petitions is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017.

    VOTING
    Voter qualifications are:  Unites States citizen; 18 years of age or older; and a permanent resident within the District for a period of thirty (30) days immediately prior to the vote.
     
    In order to vote, an individual must be registered with either the school district  or Greene County Board of Elections
     
    Any qualified resident may register to vote in this year's election at the District Office, 24 Sunset Boulevard, Coxsackie during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, on days when school is in session, until  May 12, 2017
     
    You may also register at Voter Registration scheduled for the following dates:
       May 2, 2017   Coxsackie Elementary School               5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
       May 4, 2017   Edward J. Arthur Elementary School    5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
     
    ABSENTEE BALLOTS
    Absentee Ballot applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days prior to the election and vote,if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election and vote if the ballot is to be personally picked up by the voter.  Absentee Ballots must be received by the District Clerk, no later than 5 p..m on the day of the election and vote May 16, 2017.

    BUDGET INFORMATION
    Please view the latest 2017-2018 budget information by clicking on "2017-18 Budget Planning" on the Quick Links section of the website.  Board of Education Budget workshops will be held on the following dates:
     
    February 2, 2017 - Budget Workshop - MS Library 
    March 2, 2017      - Budget Workshop - EJA
    March 28, 2017    - Budget Workshop - CE
    April 13, 2017      - Budget Workshop - CE (if needed) - Approval of tentative 2017-18 budget.
     
    PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET
    Public Budget hearings are scheduled on the following dates:
     
    May 2, 2017   -   7 p.m.   -   Coxsackie Elementary
    May 4, 2017   -   7 p.m.   -   Edward J. Arthur Elementary
     
    BOARD OF EDUCATION ELECTION\
    This year's election is for three members of the Board of Education for three-year terms commencing July 1, 2017 and ending on June 30, 2020.
     
    Board of Education member qualifications are as follows:
     
       Be a citizen of the United States
     
       Be at least 18 years of age by the date of the election
     
       Be a resident of the school district for at least one year preceding the election
     
       Not be a convicted felon
