All seniors attended a brief assembly in regards to the proposed amendment of Section 100.2 of the regulation of the Commissioner of Education relating to completion of the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) by seniors enrolled in school districts.
After July 1, 2025 each school district must annually report to the department certain data for all seniors enrolled in such district, aggregated by high school. This data includes: the total number of students who completed the FAFSA, or if applicable, the DREAM Act application. The number of students who completed a waiver and the total number of seniors enrolled.
The form that the state is asking all seniors and/or guardians (if under 18) to complete and have signed and returned is available in the high school main office. This form (link to the form) was given to all seniors that attended the assembly on Monday February 3rd, 2025.
Students should return this signed form to the school counseling office no later than February 14th. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
