Students of Quarter 1: 2023-2024 - Academic Excellence

 Grade 5

Congratulations to Alyn Place!  Mrs. Sunkes & Mrs. Russo have chosen Alyn as Student of the First Quarter. Alyn always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She is a role model for her peers and works extremely hard each and everyday in all academic areas. She goes above and beyond classroom expectations and she is always looking for ways to excel.  Alyn is a kindness queen…she spreads kindness to her friends, classmates and teachers.  Thank you for always doing your best Alyn.  We appreciate you!

Ms. Favicchio and Ms. Hummel have selected McKenszie Cruz as Student of the First Quarter. Across the board, McKenszie has shown great enthusiasm for learning this quarter. She is confident and competent, and she is a joy to have in class. Keep up the great work

Grade 6

Liam Whitbourn is serious about his education. Liam is 100% focused 100% of the time. He takes pride in doing good work and is a positive force in all of his classes. Liam is happy to help his teachers and his peers to make sure classes are productive. Liam is kind and patient and we have really enjoyed getting to know him during the first 10 weeks of 6th grade. 

Izabella Bennett has consistently performed at a high level in all of her academics for the first 10 weeks of school. Izzy is organized and responsible. She eagerly participates in class discussions and is always willing to help her peers do their very best. The 6th grade team also counts on Izzy to collect and deliver morning folders because we know she can be counted on to be professional and punctual. 

Grade 7

Sierra Swartout has been selected as one of the 7th grade Students of the Quarter for the First Quarter. Sierra is an excellent student who goes above and beyond to make sure that she is successful. She actively participates in class and lends a helping hand to her classmates. Congratulations Sierra from the 7th Grade team.

Liam Meagher was proudly chosen by the 7th grade team as a Student of the Quarter.  Liam is a bright, responsible, and hardworking young man.  He is always engaged in whatever is being taught in his classes.   His thoughtfulness and inquisitive nature shine through all of his work, but especially in projects and assignments where he is given the opportunity to think outside of the box.  He is creative and kind and is deserving of the honor of student of the quarter.

Grade 8

Brianna Beckmann, the outstanding 8th-grade student of the quarter, shines brightly in both academics and character. Her dedication to learning is evident through her consistent high grades and active participation in class discussions. Beyond her impressive academic achievements, Brianna is a compassionate and supportive classmate, always willing to lend a helping hand to her peers. Brianna is also an amazing tennis player who made it to the sectionals. Brianna's positive attitude, strong work ethic, and kindness make her a well-deserving recipient of the 8th-grade Student of the Quarter award.

Weston Martin has been selected by the 8th Grade Team as the Student of the Quarter. Weston has had a great start to his 8th grade year!  He regularly contributes to class discussions and is highly motivated to do his best.  Weston is a member of  NJHS and played fall soccer. He is respectful, polite, and friendly with staff and students. He gets along well with his peers and is always willing to help his classmates. Congratulations Weston!

Grade 5

Bryson Meltz always gives 110% in everything he tackles. He does not let a struggle stand in his way, and he takes ownership and pride in his work. Ms. Favicchio and Ms. Hummel commend his excellent effort!

Ms. Sunkes and Ms. Russo are proud to recognize Declan Meier for excellent effort. Declan consistently puts forth excellent effort in everything he does! He tackles challenging assignments with a determination to succeed and he always participates in classroom learning. Declan is truly a role model to those around him. We are so proud of Declan's hard work and we know he will continue to be successful in 5th grade!

Grade 6

Annabelle Deyo is the definition of hard work and perseverance. She always strives to do her best work and takes feedback from her teachers and puts it into action. Annabelle is super focused in all of her classes and completes each task with a positive attitude. Annabelle is going to accomplish so many great things this year!

Quentin Tefft  always enters class with a smile and a great attitude. He is such a positive force in all of his classes. Quentin has a great sense of humor and can usually relate a funny story that ties in with whatever we are learning that day. Quentin prides himself on being efficient and using his time wisely. He sets high standards for himself and is destined to have a fantastic year.

Grade 7

The 7th grade team has chosen Madilynn VanAlphen as the student of the quarter who demonstrates outstanding effort.  Madi cares about her schoolwork and works hard in all subjects.  She is willing to help others with assignments.  Madi stays during office hours to complete assignments, get extra help, or help her peers.  Keep up the great work!!

Zef Yannone's hard work, dedication, and positive attitude have not gone unnoticed.  Zef’s improvement in both academic performance and behavior has earned him the Student of the Quarter Improvement Award. Throughout the first quarter, we have witnessed a transformation in his approach to his studies. His commitment to improve is evident in the significant increase in his grades and positive behavior. His actions have set an example for his peers, and the 7th grade team is truly proud of the strides he has made in the classroom. Teachers and staff have observed his respectful and cooperative attitude, creating a more positive learning environment for everyone. We commend Zef for his efforts to change and improve his academics and behaviors. Keep up the good work Zef!

Grade 8

Kaden Farwell has demonstrated academic growth, good attendance, and increased motivation this year.  The 8th grade team is very proud of your progress.    We hope you continue to grow as a student through your academic efforts and improved behavior in the classroom.  Congratulations Kaden!

Payton Albright has really come a long way from last year to this year!  She is working hard to stay on top of all her assignments.  She participates in class discussion and can even be seen leading her group while working on assignments.  We are very proud of her hard work and focus this year!
