Dear Middle School Students and Families:
We are excited to announce this year’s Middle School musical will be:
Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.
We don’t want any Poor Unfortunate Souls to miss out on this great opportunity. So here’s what you need to know if you want to be Part of Our World.
Getting Ready to Set Sail:
An interest meeting will be held during 10th period, Monday, September 21st in the MS Music Room. All interested 5th through 8th graders should attend.
Auditions will be Thursday, September 24th - 1:46-3:09.
Audition sign-up sheets are posted outside the MS Music Room. Audition materials are posted in the MS Drama Club classroom.
Students who wish to audition for ensemble may sign up in groups of 3 to 5 students.
Students who wish to audition for leads need to sign up for that part and prepare the song and lines that are posted in google classroom.
Students need to sign and return the Drama Club Contract in order to audition. Contracts will be given out at the September 21st meeting.
Student athletes are welcome to audition. We’ll work with your sports schedule.
Once we’re Under the Sea:
Students need to attend scheduled rehearsals and practice at home outside of rehearsal time.
Parent help will be very important in putting together a show of this size. We can’t do it without you!
As we get closer to the show, we will have some rehearsals that go beyond office hours and some evening rehearsals. We will communicate these well in advance.
Students must be available for all of tech week rehearsals (November 16th through 19th) and for the show dates:
Friday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 21st at 2:00 p.m.
