K-4 students will be participating in the Halloween Parade on Monday, October 31st, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Students should bring their costumes in a separate bag. For example: Capes, long pants and/or dresses should be placed in a bag and brought to school. In addition, other props should be brought in a bag. Please do not send students to school with plastic weapons such as guns, knives and other objects. Absolutely no masks should be worn to school by students. Teachers will assist students in dressing up. Note: Teachers will reach out to families regarding the number of parent volunteers needed to help with costumes. To help us, apply make up PRIOR to school. Class parties will be held PRIOR to parade.

Our parade route is pictured below. Students will be exiting the school at the back door located between the Elementary School and Middle School. The parade will proceed down the path, circle around the back of the Elementary School and down the sidewalk by the District Office. Students will then re-enter the building through the Elementary School front doors. The best location to view the parade would be near the playground area. For safety concerns, we are asking that adults DO NOT wear anything that would obscure their faces. As well, families need to stay behind marked cones. Following the parade, students will return to their classrooms and costumes will be removed before the students leave. If you plan on taking your student after the parade activities (rather than taking the bus), PLEASE SEND A NOTE IN WITH YOUR STUDENT THE MORNING OF THE PARADE. ALL STUDENTS WITH A NOTE WILL BE DISMISSED AT THE WALKER DOOR AT REGULAR DISMISSAL TIME BEGINNING AT 3:20PM.

*SPECIAL REMINDERTHE BUS LOOP AREA IS FOR STAFF AND BUSES ONLY! THE HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL WILL BE DISMISSING DURING THIS TIME. FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL STUDENTS, FAMILIES SHOULD PARK IN THE VISITOR LOT, ON SUNSET BLVD., OR BEHIND THE HIGH SCHOOL. PARKING AT THE CURB IN THE VISITOR LOT IS NOT PERMITTED.
