Homespun Community Dancing

Dear Families,

We are excited to share that this week our K-4 EJA students will be participating in a special dance residency with the talented dancers from Homespun Community Dancing!

Homespun’s in-school residencies introduce students to traditional community dances from around the world, helping them learn about different cultures through music, movement, and fun. Their workshops include lively folk, square, contra, and international dances that encourage teamwork, confidence, and community-building.

Homespun’s programs have been bringing these experiences to schools across the Northeast for many years, creating joyful and memorable learning opportunities for students.

At the conclusion of the residency, students and their families are invited to join us for a special evening performance where students will showcase what they have learned and even help teach some of the dances!

Family Performance:
Date: Friday, April 24
Time:6:30 PM
Location: School Cafeteria

This family dance evening is a wonderful opportunity for students, parents, siblings, and staff to come together for a fun-filled celebration of music, movement, and community.

We hope to see you there for this special event!
