The Coxsackie-Athens School community believes effective instruction leads to successful learning. We support that belief by providing our teachers a daily period of time we call our Professional Learning Period (PLP), prior to student arrival to collaborate with colleagues regarding the four learning questions of a professional learning community. We provide support to new teachers through formal 1:1 mentoring as well as sustained work with our teacher leaders. The administration facilitates quarterly training focused on effective teaching aligned to our observation rubric.
