If you know families living in the district who could benefit from Coxsackie-Athens Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program in the 2024-2025 School Year, please share the following information with them.
The program is free and all children living within Coxsackie-Athens Central School District who will be age 4 on or before December 1, 2024, are eligible.
Children are chosen for the UPK program through a random lottery and families must register for the lottery to ensure they are eligible. Full information is on the district's website.
Universal Pre-Kindergarten lottery registration for the 2024-2025 School Year is open. Registration process will take place at the following locations: Coxsackie Elementary School - Monday and Tuesday, February 5 & 6 Edward J. Arthur Elementary School - Wednesday and Thursday, February 7 & 8 District Office - ongoing
All UPK lottery applications are due by March 1, 2024.
Names for the 2024-2025 UPK Program will be randomly drawn on March 21, 2024. Families will be contacted shortly thereafter.

Bring the completed 2024-2025 Pre-K Application Form (see below) to your appointment and the documents listed under the UPK Registration Checklist (also below).

Please bring the following documents to your registration appointment:
Your child’s birth certificate
(3) proofs of parent/guardian residency (accepted forms of residency listed on UPK application)
IF APPLICABLE – Custody paperwork
IF APPLICABLE – Affidavit if you do not own or lease your residence
