13 High School Students in grades 9-12 performed at the NYSSMA Solo and Ensemble Festival on April 25th and 26th at Kingston High School. Each student spent months practicing and preparing for their solo with Mrs. Edwards.
Two students performed a Level VI All-State solo which is the highest level of NYSSMA solo.
Junior James Warren earned a 97 which is an A+ rating and Junior Violet Charniga earned a 90, earning an A- rating. This is incredibly challenging and we congratulate both of them!
Sophomore Sam West performed a Level V solo and earned a 96 (A rating). Seniors Amanda Frank, Kori Craver and Edmund Chan all earned exceptional comments. Juniors Gabby Jollie and Samantha Millett, Sophomore Natalie Rogers, Ethan Presto, Ash Riley and Taylor Bower and Freshman Nicole Multari performed Level III and IV solos and earned Excellent Ratings. Congratulations!
Mrs. Edwards is incredibly proud of each and every one of her students and how hard they worked to achieve their great scores. They are wonderful musicians and wonderful people.
