The High School Student Council just wrapped up another successful SOCKtober campaign! Thanks to the generosity of our school community, over 60 pairs of new socks were collected to help keep our neighbors warm this winter.
Donation boxes were hosted in the classrooms of Mr. Baker, Mrs. DeRose, Mrs. Field, Ms. Overbaugh, Mr. Roberg and Mrs. Watson - plus Mrs. Lackie's Nurse's Office and the CASH Bar with Ms. Hopkins.
This year, Student Council chose to donate all collected socks to The Carpenter Shop in Coxsackie. Located at the Christ Episcopal Church on Mansion Street, The Carpenter Shop is run entirely by volunteers and provides clothing, household items, and other support to local families. They were so excited to be chosen and are grateful for the community spirit!
