The other morning, members of the Coxsackie-Athens Varsity Club proudly participated in the district’s Read and Lead program. This is an initiative that brings student-athletes into classrooms to inspire younger learners through the power of reading and positive connection.
Athletes visited classrooms across the building, sharing their favorite stories, answered questions, and spent time with elementary students who look up to them both on and off the field. The visits offered a memorable opportunity for our youngest Riverhawks to see leadership, kindness, and school spirit in action.
Programs like Read and Lead showcase the true heart of C-A Athletics: service, mentorship, and giving back to our school community. We couldn’t be more proud of the way our athletes continue to represent the Riverhawks with character and pride.
