Tator

It is with deep regret that we inform you about a recent loss to our school community. Yesterday evening, Mrs. Deb Tator, middle school social studies teacher, passed away after a brief illness. Mrs. Tator has been a part of the school district since 2002. Besides 7th grade social studies she taught several high school electives over the years. She was a department teacher leader and volunteered to support many student service projects.

“Every student and staff member who walked our middle school halls was touched by Deb’s positivity, caring and love of teaching,” said Randy Squier, Superintendent of Schools. “I know my own children felt fortunate to know her and I feel for our staff members and students who had the privilege of experiencing her laughter, and fierce devotion to doing what was best for kids.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with Deb’s family and friends and colleagues here at C-A.

Our school district has a Crisis Intervention Team made up of professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents, and school personnel at difficult times such as this. At our school, we have counselors available for any student who may need or want help or any type of assistance surrounding this loss. We encourage you, as parents, to also feel free to use our resources. This includes a grief and loss packet found our webpage here: https://www.cacsd.org/article/...
