Ms. Seekamp's 6th grade scientists had an amazing adventure at Five Rivers on Oct. 29 and 30, 2024! Students learned how to collect data to assess pond health, gathered plant and animal samples, and more! HAPPENING NOW & LATER: The Coxsackie-Athens girls varsity field hockey team takes on Rondout Valley in the Section 9 Class C Finals at Taconic Hills RIGHT NOW and the girls varsity volleyball team travels to Canajoharie for a Section 2 Class C first round match at 5 p.m.
The Coxsackie-Athens CSD 5th grade is holding a Scholastic Books Pajama fundraiser from now until Oct. 31, 2024! New pajamas and books will be donated to group homes, foster children and homeless shelters in the Capital District for the holidays! #CA_RightHereRightNow

PATROON CHAMPIONS ONCE AGAIN!!! The Varsity girls XC team took back their league championship from Maple Hill with an exhilarating finish tonight at the Patroon Conference Championship Race. The girls edged out both the second and third place teams by only a couple of points, due in large part to a sprint to the finish line by Coral Vizzie and Baileigh Briski. Our top two runners, Emma Roberg and Claire Hubert did their part by finishing #1 and #2 among scoring runners in the race, but the team score came down to Vizzie and Briski who came through for the Riverhawks to bring the title back to C-A!
The boys also defended their top three place in the league for the fourth straight year, even with their top runner Jackson Purdy battling illness. Gutsy, all-out performances by Matthew Kunz, William Martin, Noah Rullison, Edmund Chan and Thaddeus Mallia kept the Riverhawks in their rightful place on the podium in the Patroon Conference.
Modified runner Lilli Collins finished 3rd among all mod girls and Erik Roberg finished 13th among all modified boys to lead the middle school programs to a successful end to their league season.

Field hockey defeat Onteora 3-2 to advance to the sectional final on Wednesday vs. top seed Roundout Valley.
The library proposes a $10,000 increase representing 6.2% budget increase. The increase is due to:
- anticipated utility increases, with a portion due to the increased space
- maintenance/snow removal of ramp
- maintenance of the elevator

6th graders at Coxsackie-Athens Middle School have been BUSY!
First collage: Students were hard at work during Office Hours with the help of "Alvin and the Chipmunks".
Second collage: Our scientists learned how to measure liquid metric volume using the displacement method.
