PATROON CHAMPIONS ONCE AGAIN!!! The Varsity girls XC team took back their league championship from Maple Hill with an exhilarating finish tonight at the Patroon Conference Championship Race. The girls edged out both the second and third place teams by only a couple of points, due in large part to a sprint to the finish line by Coral Vizzie and Baileigh Briski. Our top two runners, Emma Roberg and Claire Hubert did their part by finishing #1 and #2 among scoring runners in the race, but the team score came down to Vizzie and Briski who came through for the Riverhawks to bring the title back to C-A! The boys also defended their top three place in the league for the fourth straight year, even with their top runner Jackson Purdy battling illness. Gutsy, all-out performances by Matthew Kunz, William Martin, Noah Rullison, Edmund Chan and Thaddeus Mallia kept the Riverhawks in their rightful place on the podium in the Patroon Conference. Modified runner Lilli Collins finished 3rd among all mod girls and Erik Roberg finished 13th among all modified boys to lead the middle school programs to a successful end to their league season.
