Today is Fire Prevention Day! In preparation for their trip to the Athens Fire Department, students at Edward J. Arthur Elementary School have been hard at work in the library with Ms. McClune!
- 3rd grade worked on website navigation and clicking on embedded hyperlinks.
- Kindergarten and 1st graders did sorting activities as a part of the library curriculum and enjoyed separating what is hot and what is not.
- Pre-Kindergarten students enjoyed themed independent reading centers about fire safety.

The 6th Grade Scientists explored the Siuslaw Model Forest and learned all about local plants, streams, Hudson River fish, how to use a compass, and bird migration. A big thank you to all of the volunteers and chaperones who made this trip possible! #CA_RightHereRightNow
