The board of education will be hosting a public comment session on future grade groupings Tuesday October 5th at 6:30 PM in the Coxsackie Elementary School cafeteria. A brief introduction and update on this topic will be followed by public comments. No action will be taken at this meeting and comments will be limited to this topic. The event will be live streamed.

This morning a school bus was hit in the rear by another motor vehicle while transporting middle and high school students to school. The bus flashing reds were on. Our school nurse arrived on the scene and all students were evaluated and cleared to report to school. All parents have been contacted.

Mr. Squier joined elected officials today at Black Horse Farms in support of the bipartisan Small Farm to School Act to empower our farmers and deliver healthy, local food to our kids. Congressman Delgado is a sponsor of this bill. State Senator Hinchey and Assembly member Tague have similar bills in Albany.

FINAL MASCOT VOTE The final vote for the new mascot for Coxsackie-Athens Central Schools will begin Monday September 13th at 9:00 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM on Monday September 20. The three choices are:

Eagles
Riverhawks
Everyone is encouraged to vote online. A link to the online ballot will be posted on Monday morning. You may also fill out a ballot at either elementary school. Seniors were up at sunrise this morning to share fellowship and make memories with some donuts to help.
