On Thursday, February 27th, High School Student Council members Addison Chimento and Hannah Osborn presented Sophomore Darin Vail with the donations received throughout the month of February for the American Heart Association's Heart Fund campaign.
By signing their hearts, High School students pledged to stop heart & stroke disease through their donations that will help spread knowledge, advance research and help Americans live longer.
Darin was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and is a fierce advocate for the Heart Association, he was recently announced as their 2025 Heart Hero!

Coxsackie-Athens Senior Juliana Caringi sang the National Anthem this morning at New York State's inaugural Girls State Tournament! Representing Coxsackie-Athens well! Her older sister, and Coxsackie-Athens Alumni, Schyler Caringi will be singing the National Anthem just before the Finals, scheduled for 4pm at the MVP Arena in Albany, NY.
SAVE THE DATE! The Coxsackie-Athens High School Drama Club proudly presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a hilarious and heartwarming musical you won’t want to miss. Performances will take place in the Coxsackie-Athens High School Auditorium on Friday, March 7, at 7 PM; Saturday, March 8, at 7 PM; and Sunday, March 9, at 2 PM. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. They will be available at the door for each performance or can be purchased online by scanning the QR code on the posters.
