Avery is described as smart, respectful, helpful, kind and most of all funny. She is never shy about asking questions when it comes to completing work in class and just questions in general. All of her teachers agree that she is very deserving of Rotary Student of the Month!

Elliot Mercer-Whipple, an eighth-grade standout, has been recognized as the Rotary Student of the Month. Her commitment to academic excellence is evident in her outstanding grades and dedication to her studies. Elliot's curiosity and passion for learning not only shine in the classroom but also extend to her involvement in extracurricular activities, where she consistently demonstrates leadership and teamwork. Her remarkable achievements make her a role model for her peers and a source of pride for her school community.

Emma is truly an outstanding student, always willing to participate, and consistently provides excellent insights during our class discussions. Her positive attitude and contributions greatly enhance our learning environment. Her teachers are grateful for the impact she makes in all of our classrooms.

We're thrilled to announce Richard Svara as our 10th-grade Student of the Month. With his eager class participation, positive attitude, and great sense of humor, he's truly made his mark. From day one, Richard has stood out for his enthusiasm and insightful contributions, enriching our classroom discussions and setting a positive example for his peers.
But what sets him apart is his engaging personality, which shines through in every interaction. He treats everyone with kindness and respect, fostering a sense of camaraderie among his peers and earning the admiration of teachers and staff alike.
Richard’s work on his written assignments continue to show as well. Although his answers can sometimes be a bit too brief, and his penmanship a little hard to read, he works hard to complete all of the assignments to the best of his ability. As he continues his high school education, I’m confident that Richard will continue to use his impressive and growing strengths while working to improve upon skills which will make him an even better student. That is, after all, what we are all here for… to keep improving, to keep striving, and to keep asking insightful questions and seeking the answers.
Congratulations, Richard, on this well-deserved recognition. Your achievements reflect your hard work, dedication, and remarkable character. Keep shining bright—we're proud of you!

The Interact Club is sponsoring a character / fun designs bandaid drive to support The Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Albany Med.
Between the day-to-day treatments their young patients undergo as well as the play area where the kiddos can "doctor" their dolls and teddy bears, The Melodies Center goes through A LOT of bandaids.
Something as simple as a Bluey or Spiderman bandaid can bring a smile to a child's face. The center is asking for donations of character / fun design bandaids as well as the small "dot" bandaids.
There are collection boxes in each of our school buildings. Please make sure that all bandaid donations are latex-free.

The C-A booster club is looking for volunteers to help with concessions as we host the Patroon Tennis Playoff on May 7 and the Track and Field Sectional Championship on May 21. This is a great opportunity to show school spirit and pride as CA hosts these prominent events.
